Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of On Call Protection (the "Service"), a marketplace that connects clients seeking security services with independent licensed security professionals ("Guards"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service is a marketplace

On Call Protection does not employ, supervise, control, or direct the Guards listed on the Service. Guards are independent contractors who provide services directly to clients. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of any Guard or job.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Guards must hold all licenses, permits, and insurance required by law in their jurisdiction, and remain current with all renewals.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information.

3. Bookings & payment

  • Clients authorize payment at booking time. Funds are held in escrow via our payment processor and released to the Guard upon job completion, minus a platform fee.
  • Cancellation policy: Full refund if cancelled more than 24 hours before the job's start time. 50% refund if cancelled within 24 hours. No refund once the job's start time has passed. A Guard cancellation always results in a 100% refund.
  • Disputes regarding service quality must be raised within 48 hours of job completion via the in-app support channel.

4. Conduct

  • No illegal activity, harassment, or discrimination.
  • Guards must not use force beyond what is legally permitted in their jurisdiction and must not carry firearms unless properly licensed.
  • Clients must not request services that would require a Guard to break the law.

5. Independent contractor relationship

Guards are independent contractors and are solely responsible for their conduct, taxes, insurance, equipment, and compliance with applicable laws. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between On Call Protection and any user.

6. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any Guard will prevent injury, theft, or property damage.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, On Call Protection's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including bodily injury, property damage, or lost profits.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless On Call Protection, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violations of these Terms, fraud, or risk to other users.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Atlanta, Georgia, except for small-claims matters or injunctive relief.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
