Safety & Liability Disclaimer

Last updated June 5, 2026

Read this carefully before booking or working a job. On Call Protection is a marketplace, not a security company. The following disclaimers govern your use of the Service.

Background checks & verification

Guards who upload a government ID and valid security license are marked "Verified" after manual review by our team. Verification confirms only that:

  • The submitted ID document matches the guard's profile name.
  • The submitted security license appears valid on the date of review.

Verification is not a criminal background check, ongoing license-status monitoring, drug screening, psychological evaluation, or insurance verification beyond document review. We do not guarantee that any Guard is fit for any particular assignment. Clients are encouraged to perform their own due diligence for high-risk engagements.

No firearms unless licensed

Guards must not carry firearms unless properly licensed under all applicable federal, state, and local law. On Call Protection does not verify firearm licenses and assumes no responsibility for the lawful or unlawful use of any weapon by a Guard.

Use of force & emergency response

Guards are not law enforcement. They have no greater authority to use force, detain, or arrest than any private citizen in their jurisdiction. In an active emergency, call 911 first.

Insurance

On Call Protection does not provide liability insurance for Guards or Clients. Guards are responsible for carrying their own general liability and professional liability coverage. Clients should consult their own insurance provider regarding coverage for third-party contractors on their premises.

Property & bodily injury

On Call Protection is not liable for any property damage, theft, bodily injury, emotional distress, or death arising from a Guard's action, inaction, or presence at a job site. All such claims are between the Client and the Guard.

High-risk engagements

The Service is not suitable for:

  • Active threat-response or counter-terrorism work.
  • Witness protection or custodial security.
  • Cash-in-transit or armored car services.
  • Anything requiring federal clearance.

If you need any of the above, hire a licensed security firm directly.
